The End of an Era?

Today is a day to be celebrated! The Supreme Court just announced its ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This ruling overturns Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. This ruling no longer views abortion as a constitutional right in the United States. Now, it is up to the individual states to decide whether or not abortion will be allowed in their state.

I am thankful for this decision for two reasons:
1) Abortion, the sanctioned murder of innocent life, is no longer the law of the land.
2) The Supreme Court has recognized that it is not for the courts to legislate through litigation, but legislation is in the hands of the people.

This means that the fight over abortion is far from over. There will be legal challenges to face in the coming years. We must still support Crisis pregnancy centers, support families, adopt, whatever else we can to support life.

While we pause to celebrate today, let us never stop advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves. Let’s continually live out our faith with a Christ-like love for everyone!

One response to “The End of an Era?”

  1. Amen We must not let evil
succeed. We must always fight the good fight and be doers of Gods word and not just hearer’s.
