48 hours

So, I have not blogged as often as I wanted over the past year. This past year has definitely had its struggles. However, God has been faithful. He has brought me through many difficult days and here we are with less than 48 hours to go.

In less than 48 hours, I will be in surgery. In less than 48 hours, Lisa Connerley will give me the gift of life. She is “sharing her spare.”

My life is going to be much different in 48 hours. The doctor told me last week that I will notice a difference when I wake up from surgery!

I can not put into words the gratitude I feel for God’s provision and Lisa’s willing obedience. It amazes me to hear Lisa tell me that God told her to donate a kidney to me. Just as clear as I heard God call me to the ministry, He called her to give a kidney.

It is humbling to realize that over 100,000 people are waiting on a kidney and that God is providing one for me. I do not feel worthy of this blessing, but are we really worthy of any blessing?

How do I feel toady? I feel grateful.

  1. Chad Ball, I love you and pray God’s hand upon you for the next 48 and several to come in your healing. You are a blessing to me and I know Grandmother and Pawpa would be proud of you because they were before they passed away. I am proud of you and what you and Christy have accomplished with family and your work at the church. May God comfort you and give strength in your healing. Love to you and family, Aunt Lee

  2. As I have said before God has a plan for you in a world that is so lost he continues to give us Christian people that are willing to step up an carry the cross when we need help. She will get a star in her crown but more then that the lives that might be saved is worth it all.
May God Bless you and your donor
    In Christian love

  3. Bro. Chad, Joe called to tell me that the surgery was 100% successful, and we are so very thankful out here in Texas. Many here have you on their prayer list and our prayers will continue for you and also for your generous donor. May you both keep healing and gaining strength, and we are all grateful to our mighty God.

  4. My friend told me you had kidney troubles but he didnt tell me you had a donor.
He gives me the link to your church service online.
Now he has serious issues himself.
He’s your security and audio-visual guy and a lawyer – or was.
I only knew him online, not in person – now I havent heard in a week.
    Stumbled on your blog!
    God bless you!
